I wrote an long-ish review for this and then hit the back button which deleted the entire thing. That should teach me...
As such, this will be a bullet-pointed quick review until I muster up the strength to re-write this, if possible:
-Fantastic, dynamic leads.
-Stubborn, back-country witch
-Preachy, sanctimonious warlock
-An intricate, well-executed plot that includes multiple angles and multiple parties vying for the power of the stone which Emily holds.
-Not just your typical good v. evil plotting. The reader doesn't have a clue towards everyone's motivations and as such is left guessing all over the place--a lot of fun.
